AMS has chosen Denim Disco as its theme for 2018 Christmas Party. The event which was held last December 15, 2018 started with a thanksgiving mass.
As part of AMS Corporate Social Responsibility, an outreach at the Bahay Aruga in San Marcelino, Manila was initiated by its President & CEO, Mr. Roberto M. Macasaet, Jr. last December 13, 2018. The halfway house shelters pediatric cancer patients from the neighboring provinces while being treated at the Philippine General Hospital. The AMS employees cheerfully shared their blessings by donating a Noche Buena pack to each patient. The children were also delighted with their favorite snacks while Mr. Macasaet has opted to blow his birthday cake during the said occasion coinciding with his birthday month. What better way indeed to celebrate life by giving hope & joy to these sick kids.
A training on Basic Life Support was conducted to further hone the skills of the AMS medical staff in any emergency situation.
The recently concluded Health and Wellness Fair of the Asian Development Bank was another successful event. This year’s theme “Be resilient. Survive and thrive” which formally opened last August 22, 2018 with a short program and ribbon-cutting was led by ADB Vice President, Deborah Stokes.
The President & CEO of the Associated Medical Services (AMS) Roberto M. Macasaet, Jr. was one of those who attended the occasion and gamefully posed for some photo ops.
The regular partners of this annual event such as the Asian Hospital, Cigna, Makati Medical Center, St. Lukes Hospital, Belo Medical Group, Philippine Red Cross, International SOS to name a few along with AMS participated and offered free medical services such as cholesterol count, FBS, Blood Pressure check, Stress Management, Chiropractor, Acupuncture etc.
Each booth became as lively as ever with all the relevant games & other fun-filled activities which left nobody empty-handed with tokens and other freebies.
It was on the second day of the fair that AMS gave justice to the assigned topic on Vaccination Awareness through its well-versed speaker, Dr. Lulu Bravo- a Professor Emeritus at the University of the Philippines College of Medicine, and currently the Executive Director of the Philippine Foundation for Vaccination, Inc.
The 3-day affair was capped with a talk by the International SOS on Emergency Preparedness followed by a very realistic & heart-pounding emergency drill which was well handled by the AMS Medical Team together with the able leadership of ADB Medical Doctor, Dr. Jean-Jacques Bernatas. With the skills learned and our innate character to adapt to any difficult situation, it can be told that we can now survive and thrive in any form of emergency. After all, that is what we Filipinos are known for-resilient.
